Laser Tracker Rental – Helps Improve Productivity for Contract Services teams

Laser tracker rental is now offered by Met Optix to Contract Services teams to perform on-site measurement and inspection tasks. The unit is an API Radian Plus tracker model with a 50-metre measurement range complete with 1-1/2″ SMR, folding tripod, and laptop computer pre-loaded with Verisurf CAD/Measure software.

The Radian Plus has full six degrees of freedom capabilities and is able to be coupled with both APIs vProbe system and iSCAN 3D scanning system for additional functionality and key benefits.

The API Radian Plus is an excellent all-around system and great for general-purpose measurements in the field with a typical accuracy of 18 microns (0.018 mm) over the distance range of 2 – 50 metres, wireless operation, and a 10-hour battery life.

The API Laser tracker will be used for both customer demonstrations as well as being available as a rental for contract measurement tasks in the field. Typically, the equipment will be demonstrated using Verisurf CAD/Measure software in order to show the measurement capabilities of the laser tracker system for metrology applications. However for tool-building applications in the aerospace sector for example then Versiurf CAD/Measure/Build software can be supplied.

Welcome Ritesh Saxena to Met Optix!

Met Optix, is pleased and excited to announce the addition to our Team of Mr. Ritesh Saxena, Service and Sales Support Engineer from 17th July 2018.

Mr. Saxena joins Met Optix after a successful career in sales and support for well-known metrology companies in India such as Carl Zeiss, with coordinate measuring machine (CMM) experience as well as with Faro India with the sale and support of their portable arm products, such as the Faro Gage.

At Met Optix, Mr. Saxena will be responsible for the service and support of our customers around Australia and New Zealand with support activities such as calibration, training and software support as well as for sales of products in Victoria, reporting to business owner, David Eldridge.

Mr. Eldridge comments: “We are very fortunate to have a person such as Ritesh join us with his extensive metrology experience and we look forward to utilizing these skills to help our customers to find further use and strategic advantage from the products purchased from Met Optix. Taylor Hobson products now available in Australia from Met Optix

An extensive range of Taylor Hobson products is now available through Met Optix giving both new and existing customers access to the world-famous brand and range of roundness, form and roughness measurement equipment.

Taylor Hobson, now part of the Ultra Precision Technologies division and part of the global Ametek group with annual sales of around $3.6 billion has been in business for over 130 years and is synonymous with metrology excellence. Taylor Hobson developed the first surface roughness and roundness measurement systems.

Met Optix is very pleased and is privileged to represent a range of Taylor Hobson products in Australia in order to further support existing customers and to help new customers to find high-quality surface roughness and roundness measurement solutions for their manufacturing operations.

With products such as Talyrond roundness, Talysurf and LuphoScan form, Surtronics and Alignment and Autocollimeters and Telescopes a solution for almost any application is possible. All are fully supported and backed by both Met Optix as well as the Taylor Hobson regional service team in India and then by the head office in the UK.

TESA Products relaunched in Australia and New Zealand

MET OPTIX is extremely pleased to be able to announce that we are now officially the new sales and support Partner for TESA SA, part of the largest metrology group in the world currently – Hexagon Metrology, in Australia and New Zealand.

TESA had been previously represented in Australia by Rosebank Engineering but after an ownership change and becoming Ruag Australia, TESA was unrepresented in Australia. MET OPTIX after working on a number of recent enquiries with Ruag Australia became aware of the need for TESA to find a new Partner in ANZ after meeting in Germany and remotely with TEAS’s management for Southeast Asia who is based in Singapore, and arrangements between MET OPTIX and TESA SA for sales and support services for customers in Australia and New Zealand was developed.

The TESA brand has been synonymous with precision and high-quality measuring equipment, manufactured at the main TESA plant in Renens, Switzerland.

As part of the re-launch of TESA in Australia and New Zealand, TESA has released a range of the most popular products in their range and called these the “TESA Highlights” program.
