Alicona InfiniteFocus G5 measurement system. Additional equipment for extra capacity and improved productivity.
Focus Variation technology from Bruker-Alicona
Supply, installation, training, spare parts and upgrades and on-going support
Alicona InfiniteFocus G5 measurement system recently installed at a local University in regional Victoria aims to build additional capacity for under-graduate and PhD students for their research projects in the materials lab of the engineering faculty.
Adding to an existing InfiniteFocus G4 system, the new InfiniteFocus G5 measurement system with its faster speeds, higher resolution and larger sized image fields, the new G5 system will help to improve research productivity through the area as well as to improve the quality of the results.
The Alicona InfiniteFocus system utilizes focus-variation technology that enables the measurement of both form and surface roughness in 3D with a single instrument. Focus-Variation technology combines the small depth of focus of an optical system with vertical scanning to provide topographical and color information from the variation of focus. The main component of the system is a precision optics containing various lens systems that can be equipped with different objectives, allowing measurements with different resolution. The InfiniteFocus G5 measurement system is the fifth generation instrument of its type from Alicona, now known as Bruker-Alicona.
At the University students use the Alicona systems extensively for research purposes in the material science lab to investigate new materials, new manufacturing process and the development of new technologies for both local as well as overseas clients and Partners.
