Verisurf 2020 sets new standards for productivity in reverse engineering
Verisurf Software Inc. announces the release of Verisurf 2020 software setting a new standard for robust and efficient workflows in tasks such as reverse engineering.
The release of Verisurf 2020 software features a large number of enhancements improvements over previous releases and includes new capabilities such as:
New large-format inspection systems designed to help improve productivity
Based in Laguna Hills, CA, USA, Starrett Kinemetric Engineering has just released a range of large-format inspection systems, including the AVX550 model with a measurement volume of 550 x 400 x 250 mm X-Y-Z. This system, the first to offer a two-camera set-up for both micro and macro measurements, is available with up to 7-channels of lighting and a choice of telecentric lenses for large field-of-view measurements or 12:1 zoom optics.
Coupled with the latest M3 measurement software from Metlogix, also in the USA, this new large-size measurement system from Starrett allows users to enjoy the flexibility and ease of use of vision measurement systems.
The AVX550 is the first Starrett-produced large format system. It replaces the older LF-Series of vision systems sourced from a third party. This enables Starrett to have complete control of the design and function.
EVO-TUBE for efficient measurement of tubes and pipes
RPS Metrology have released a seven axis version of their popular EVO portable measuring arm now as a complete solution for the measurement of tubes, the EVO-TUBE. The tube fork is a Class 2 laser scanner that attaches to the Arm using a Renishaw auto-joint and so no calibration is needed.
The EVO-TUBE collects scan data of the tubing in terms of diameter and position which can be exported either in XYZ or YBC formats suitable for most tube bending machines.
Metrolog software is a universal metrology platform for almost any types of metrology hardware
French software developer Metrologic has been in business for over 35 years and over that time has developed several outstanding software packages including Metrolog. Metrolog X4 is the only software package able to communicate with any brand of CMM including Hexagon, Mitutoyo, Zeiss, Wenzel, Nikon, LK, COORD3 as well as portable CMM devices from Faro, Kreon, API, Hexagon and Creaform. Metrolog can interface with over 100 devices including CMM, portable devices, robots and automation systems.
High performance: handles large data sets
Metrolog X4 64-bit architecture uses all available computer memory and optimisation with unparalleled performance and ease of use.
The software architecture provides two key benefits:
mCaliper is a mobile measurement with digital instruments performed with a digital caliper, micrometer, or any other manual measurement tool. With the help of a mobile device connected to the digital caliper, all results are immediately stored in the cloud.
A measurement plan displayed on a mobile device prompts the operator which dimensions to check and immediately calculates the deviation from the nominals. Bluetooth connection between the smartphone and the digital caliper ensures that the measurement data is safely stored in the cloud.
mCaliper is a software solution that consists of a mobile application and a cloud server.
Planar sheet metal measuring system – P43.100 with plug-and-play set-up
InspectVision from Northern Ireland recently released a new entry-level Planar sheet metal measuring system, the Planar P43.100, specifically designed for plug-and-play operation during the current travel restrictions around the COVID-19 pandemic.
The P43.100 can measure parts up to 810 mm long x 520 mm wide x 50 mm in thickness in less than 0.25 secs with a processing time of around 25 secs. and comes with 2D and 3D measurement capabilities with InspecVision’s proprietary software for inspection, SPC, reporting, and reverse engineering.
Priced from around $18,500 + GST delivered in Australia, this system makes an ideal entry-level system for the measurement of components up to an A3 size piece of paper with an accuracy of around +/-0.1 mm over the area of the light box and +/-0.2 mm at the edges.
Options include a powder-coated stand for the system, annual software maintenance, and an extended warranty for the equipment.
